Announcement Date: August 6, 2026 / Effective Date: August 22, 2026
GamePal is a place to find people to play games with. We stand on three commitments: treat one another with respect, keep the space safe, and always start from the game we share. These Guidelines are not a list of punishments; they are the minimum boundaries that let anyone open a Party or join one without hesitation. Most of what follows is common sense, but the prohibitions set out below apply without exception.
These Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") apply to every user of GamePal (the "Service") and supplement the Service's Terms of Service. Any matter not addressed in these Guidelines shall be governed by the Terms of Service and applicable law.
Article 1. Purpose and Nature of the Service
GamePal is a service for finding friends to play games with. All features of the Service, including profiles, Parties, and chat, are provided to help users who enjoy the same games discover one another and play together.
The Service is not a dating service and does not exist to arrange romantic or opposite-sex introductions. Use of the Service for the purpose of romance or dating is restricted. What relationships users choose to build after playing together is their own affair, but the following uses, which make such a purpose explicit within the Service, are not permitted.
Profiles, Parties, or chat messages indicating that the user is seeking a romantic partner, a blind date, or a dating partner
Use of the Service whose principal purpose is meeting members of the opposite sex, unrelated to playing games
Repeated proposals of private meetings or dates after the other user has declined
Requesting external contact details, social media accounts, or photographs for romantic purposes
Using the Service as a channel to direct users to other dating or matchmaking services
Becoming close naturally through conversation about games is entirely acceptable. This Article addresses use that is aimed at meeting people rather than playing games from the outset.
Article 2. Scope of Application
These Guidelines apply to all content that users create, upload, or transmit on the Service, and to all conduct on the Service, including but not limited to the following.
Profiles: nicknames, introductions, profile photographs and images, voice intros, and linked game account information
Parties: Party titles, descriptions, tags, role names, recruitment conditions, and join request messages
Chat: Party chat, one-to-one chat, and any images, voice messages, or links sent therein
Externally shared content: share cards, images, and links generated on the Service and shared outside it
Other interactions: reports, inquiries, event participation, and any other user activity conducted through the Service
These Guidelines apply equally regardless of the language used. Where a user circumvents plain expression through slang, initialisms, inserted symbols, altered characters, images, or audio, these Guidelines apply in the same manner if the substance falls within a prohibited category.
Each of Articles 3 through 11 corresponds one-to-one with one of the nine report reasons available in the in-app reporting feature.
Article 3. Spam and Advertising
In-app report reason: Spam/Advertising
Party listings and chat exist so that users can find people to play with. The following conduct is prohibited.
Commercial advertising or promotion, or soliciting sign-ups for or purchases of external services or products
Repeatedly posting identical or substantially similar content (flooding)
Sending messages indiscriminately to large numbers of unspecified users
Distributing referral codes, invitation links, donation or fundraising links, or links to external communities
Using automated programs (bots), macros, or scripts to post or transmit repeatedly
Repeatedly creating or immediately deleting Parties for purposes unrelated to game recruitment
Article 4. Inappropriate Content
In-app report reason: Inappropriate Content
The following content, which may cause discomfort to other users or is inconsistent with the purpose of the Service, is prohibited.
Excessive profanity, vulgar language, or crude expressions
Violent or graphic depictions, or images or audio likely to cause revulsion
Expressions that encourage or glorify self-harm or suicide
Content relating to unlawful activity, including illegal gambling, narcotics, weapons, and illegally recorded material
Offering account boosting or rank manipulation, offering to trade, share, or sell accounts, or promoting or distributing cheats or unauthorized programs
Using another person's copyrighted work, likeness, or trademark without the rights holder's permission
Repeated posting for purposes unrelated to finding gaming companions, such as political or religious propaganda
Article 5. Harassment and Threats
In-app report reason: Harassment/Threats
Disagreement is acceptable; attacking a person is not. The following conduct is prohibited.
Persistent disparagement, ridicule, or insult directed at a specific individual
Threats, intimidation, or implied violence
Stalking, unwanted repeated contact, or attempts to approach a user who has declined contact
Disclosing personal information such as a real name, address, school, workplace, telephone number, or account credentials without consent (doxxing)
Coordinated or group targeting of a particular user
Creating multiple accounts or otherwise circumventing a block imposed by another user
Using Party management privileges to repeatedly exclude or humiliate a particular user
Article 6. Hate Speech
In-app report reason: Hate Speech
No user should be excluded on the basis of who they are. The following conduct is prohibited and is treated with the greatest severity.
Denigration, insult, or discrimination on the basis of race, nationality, ethnicity, skin color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, illness, religion, age, or regional origin
Excluding a user from a Party or from conversation on the basis of any such attribute
Using or disseminating symbols, slogans, memes, or images that promote hatred
Inciting violence or discrimination against any group
Denying or glorifying historical atrocities
Article 7. Sexual Content
In-app report reason: Sexual Content (Obscene/Harassment)
The Service is shared by adult users. The following conduct is prohibited.
Posting or transmitting obscene material, nude images, or content depicting or implying sexual acts
Sexual harassment, or unwanted sexual remarks, questions, or requests

Directing users to external sites, accounts, or links containing sexual content
Requesting photographs, audio, or video of another user's body for sexual purposes
Using sexual expressions in nicknames, introductions, Party titles, tags, or role names
Sexual content involving minors is subject to a zero-tolerance policy. Upon confirmation, the Company will impose a permanent restriction immediately and will report the matter to, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law.
Article 8. Fraud and Impersonation
In-app report reason: Fraud/Impersonation
The following conduct is prohibited.
Proposing transactions in, or committing fraud involving, money, in-game currency, items, or accounts
Requesting or soliciting remittances, donations, investments, or gifts
Impersonating an operator, the customer support team, an official account, or a public figure
Appropriating another user's nickname, profile photograph, or game account in order to pass oneself off as that person
Sending phishing links, or requesting passwords, verification codes, or identity verification information
Demanding payment for boosting, account sales, or similar arrangements
Abusing the payment or refund process, or inducing others to do so
The Company will never ask a user for a password or a verification code under any circumstances.
Article 9. False Information
In-app report reason: False Information (applies primarily to Party postings)
Users who join a Party commit their time in reliance on the information posted. The following conduct is prohibited.
Stating recruitment conditions that differ from the actual conditions, including the game, server, game mode, tier or numeric requirements, number of members, or start time
Posting a recruitment notice without any intention of actually holding the Party
Inducing participation by advertising rewards, benefits, or compensation that do not exist
Falsifying match records, ranks, verification data, or experience, or presenting another person's records as one's own
Spreading unfounded claims that damage the reputation of another user or of the Service
Article 10. Protection of Minors
In-app report reason: Suspected Minor
The Service is for adults only: all users must be at least 18 years old, and users who reside in the Republic of Korea must be at least 19 years old. This age requirement is determined by the user's country of residence, not by the language the user has selected, and where the law of that country prescribes a higher minimum age, that higher age requirement shall apply.
In order to protect minors, the following conduct is prohibited and is subject to a zero-tolerance policy.
Approaching a minor, or a user who appears to be a minor, for sexual purposes, or directing sexual remarks or requests to such a user
Any attempt to build trust with a minor in order to exploit that minor sexually or financially (grooming)
Requesting an offline meeting, external contact details, or photographs or video of the body from a minor
Encouraging a minor to use, or exposing a minor to, alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or material harmful to youth
Misstating one's age in order to circumvent the eligibility requirement
Where a report of a suspected minor is received, the Company will review it as a matter of the highest priority and may restrict use immediately and, where necessary, report the matter to and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law.
Article 11. Other Violations
In-app report reason: Other
Even where conduct does not fall squarely within the preceding Articles, the following conduct undermines the purpose of the Service and may be restricted.
Violating the Terms of Service or applicable law
Interfering with the normal operation of the Service, or exploiting vulnerabilities or defects in the system
Obtaining or manipulating currency, badges, rankings, or matching results by irregular means
Operating multiple accounts in breach of the one-account-per-person rule, or transferring, lending, or sharing an account
Creating a new account or otherwise circumventing access restrictions in order to evade an operator's enforcement measure
Any other conduct that harms the safety of other users or the ordinary operation of the Service
When submitting a report under "Other," a specific description of the problem allows the Company to review the matter more quickly and accurately.
Article 12. Enforcement Measures
The Company reviews reports together with the results of its own monitoring and applies the following measures in stages, taking into account the nature and severity of the violation and whether it has been repeated.
Content measures: hiding or deleting the content at issue, or compelling the modification or reset of a nickname, introduction, profile photograph, voice intro, Party title, or similar item
Warning: notice identifying the Guideline that was violated, together with a request to correct the conduct
Use restriction: an operator measure restricting the use of specific features (such as creating Parties, chatting, or editing a profile) or of the Service as a whole for a fixed period
Permanent restriction: permanent termination of the account's access to the Service
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may impose a use restriction or a permanent restriction immediately, without proceeding through the stages above, in the following cases.
Where the harm is severe and difficult to remedy, such as a violation of Article 7 (Sexual Content), Article 10 (Protection of Minors), or Article 6 (Hate Speech)
Where a violation of Article 8 (Fraud and Impersonation) has caused, or is likely to cause, financial loss to other users
Where identical or similar violations have been repeated such that correction cannot reasonably be expected
Where action is required by law, including at the request of law enforcement authorities
The Company will notify the user of the grounds for and the content of any measure, including by in-app notification. A user who objects to a measure may file an objection through Settings > Customer Support in the app, and the Company will review the objection and may uphold, modify, or withdraw the measure. The use of paid currency and subscriptions may be restricted during a period of use restriction; such matters are governed by the Terms of Service.
Article 13. Reporting and Inquiries
If you encounter a violation of these Guidelines, please use the in-app reporting feature. Reports may be submitted from the profile screen, the Party detail screen, and the chat room screen, and you may select the applicable reason from the nine reasons corresponding to Articles 3 through 11.
The reporting user's information is not disclosed to the reported user.
Reports are reviewed in order of priority according to the severity of the matter; reports concerning sexual content, minors, and hate speech are handled with the highest priority.
Independently of reporting, the block feature may be used to immediately prevent further exposure to, and contact from, a given user.
Submitting supporting material, such as a screenshot of the conversation, enables a more accurate review.
Repeatedly submitting false or retaliatory reports may itself constitute a violation of Article 11 and be subject to enforcement measures.
Where a matter is urgent, such as a threat to life or physical safety, or where you believe a criminal offense has occurred, please seek assistance from law enforcement or other relevant authorities immediately, in addition to submitting a report. For all other inquiries, please use Settings > Customer Support in the app.
Article 14. Amendment of the Guidelines
The Company may amend these Guidelines in response to the operating circumstances of the Service, changes in the usage environment, or the enactment or amendment of applicable law.
Where these Guidelines are amended, the Company will announce the substance of the amendment and its effective date by in-app notice, published no later than seven (7) days before the effective date.
Where an amendment is unfavorable to users or otherwise material, the Company will identify such changes clearly and separately in the notice.
If a user continues to use the Service on or after the announced effective date, the user shall be deemed to have accepted the amended Guidelines. A user who does not accept an amendment may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw from membership.
Any matter not addressed in these Guidelines shall be governed by the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
Addendum
These Guidelines (v1.1) take effect on August 22, 2026.
