Community Guidelines

Announcement Date: August 6, 2026 / Effective Date: August 22, 2026

GamePal is a place to find people to play games with. We stand on three commitments: treat one another with respect, keep the space safe, and always start from the game we share. These Guidelines are not a list of punishments; they are the minimum boundaries that let anyone open a Party or join one without hesitation. Most of what follows is common sense, but the prohibitions set out below apply without exception.

These Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") apply to every user of GamePal (the "Service") and supplement the Service's Terms of Service. Any matter not addressed in these Guidelines shall be governed by the Terms of Service and applicable law.

Article 1. Purpose and Nature of the Service

GamePal is a service for finding friends to play games with. All features of the Service, including profiles, Parties, and chat, are provided to help users who enjoy the same games discover one another and play together.

The Service is not a dating service and does not exist to arrange romantic or opposite-sex introductions. Use of the Service for the purpose of romance or dating is restricted. What relationships users choose to build after playing together is their own affair, but the following uses, which make such a purpose explicit within the Service, are not permitted.

Becoming close naturally through conversation about games is entirely acceptable. This Article addresses use that is aimed at meeting people rather than playing games from the outset.

Article 2. Scope of Application

These Guidelines apply to all content that users create, upload, or transmit on the Service, and to all conduct on the Service, including but not limited to the following.

These Guidelines apply equally regardless of the language used. Where a user circumvents plain expression through slang, initialisms, inserted symbols, altered characters, images, or audio, these Guidelines apply in the same manner if the substance falls within a prohibited category.

Each of Articles 3 through 11 corresponds one-to-one with one of the nine report reasons available in the in-app reporting feature.

Article 3. Spam and Advertising

In-app report reason: Spam/Advertising

Party listings and chat exist so that users can find people to play with. The following conduct is prohibited.

Article 4. Inappropriate Content

In-app report reason: Inappropriate Content

The following content, which may cause discomfort to other users or is inconsistent with the purpose of the Service, is prohibited.

Article 5. Harassment and Threats

In-app report reason: Harassment/Threats

Disagreement is acceptable; attacking a person is not. The following conduct is prohibited.

Article 6. Hate Speech

In-app report reason: Hate Speech

No user should be excluded on the basis of who they are. The following conduct is prohibited and is treated with the greatest severity.

Article 7. Sexual Content

In-app report reason: Sexual Content (Obscene/Harassment)

The Service is shared by adult users. The following conduct is prohibited.

Sexual content involving minors is subject to a zero-tolerance policy. Upon confirmation, the Company will impose a permanent restriction immediately and will report the matter to, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Article 8. Fraud and Impersonation

In-app report reason: Fraud/Impersonation

The following conduct is prohibited.

The Company will never ask a user for a password or a verification code under any circumstances.

Article 9. False Information

In-app report reason: False Information (applies primarily to Party postings)

Users who join a Party commit their time in reliance on the information posted. The following conduct is prohibited.

Article 10. Protection of Minors

In-app report reason: Suspected Minor

The Service is for adults only: all users must be at least 18 years old, and users who reside in the Republic of Korea must be at least 19 years old. This age requirement is determined by the user's country of residence, not by the language the user has selected, and where the law of that country prescribes a higher minimum age, that higher age requirement shall apply.

In order to protect minors, the following conduct is prohibited and is subject to a zero-tolerance policy.

Where a report of a suspected minor is received, the Company will review it as a matter of the highest priority and may restrict use immediately and, where necessary, report the matter to and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Article 11. Other Violations

In-app report reason: Other

Even where conduct does not fall squarely within the preceding Articles, the following conduct undermines the purpose of the Service and may be restricted.

When submitting a report under "Other," a specific description of the problem allows the Company to review the matter more quickly and accurately.

Article 12. Enforcement Measures

The Company reviews reports together with the results of its own monitoring and applies the following measures in stages, taking into account the nature and severity of the violation and whether it has been repeated.

  1. Content measures: hiding or deleting the content at issue, or compelling the modification or reset of a nickname, introduction, profile photograph, voice intro, Party title, or similar item
  2. Warning: notice identifying the Guideline that was violated, together with a request to correct the conduct
  3. Use restriction: an operator measure restricting the use of specific features (such as creating Parties, chatting, or editing a profile) or of the Service as a whole for a fixed period
  4. Permanent restriction: permanent termination of the account's access to the Service

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may impose a use restriction or a permanent restriction immediately, without proceeding through the stages above, in the following cases.

The Company will notify the user of the grounds for and the content of any measure, including by in-app notification. A user who objects to a measure may file an objection through Settings > Customer Support in the app, and the Company will review the objection and may uphold, modify, or withdraw the measure. The use of paid currency and subscriptions may be restricted during a period of use restriction; such matters are governed by the Terms of Service.

Article 13. Reporting and Inquiries

If you encounter a violation of these Guidelines, please use the in-app reporting feature. Reports may be submitted from the profile screen, the Party detail screen, and the chat room screen, and you may select the applicable reason from the nine reasons corresponding to Articles 3 through 11.

Where a matter is urgent, such as a threat to life or physical safety, or where you believe a criminal offense has occurred, please seek assistance from law enforcement or other relevant authorities immediately, in addition to submitting a report. For all other inquiries, please use Settings > Customer Support in the app.

Article 14. Amendment of the Guidelines

Addendum

These Guidelines (v1.1) take effect on August 22, 2026.
